In 1989, Terry enrolled at Virginia Commonwealth University, where they completed a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Design and Visual Communications, specializing in the general area of Design and Visual Communications. Many years later, in 2014, they attended Rutgers University-New Brunswick for a brief period and earned a Mini MBA in Digital Marketing.
