Olli-Poika Parviainen currently serves as the Mayor (CEO) of Hämeenlinna since August 2021 and as Chairperson of the Board for Tapahtumateollisuus from January 2024. Prior roles include Chairperson of the Board at Fimlab until November 2021, State Secretary at the Ministry of the Interior from June 2019 to August 2021, and Chairperson of the Board at Tampereen Särkänniemi Oy until August 2021. Parviainen was a Member of Tampere City Council from 2009 to 2021 and held the position of Vice Mayor, focusing on business development, education, culture, and sports policies. Additionally, Parviainen was a Member of Parliament from 2015 to 2019 and has experience in content production as a freelance entrepreneur. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Information Sciences from the University of Tampere and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
