Luis Avila is an experienced R&D Mechanical Engineer, currently employed at The WellBoss Company since October 2015, where responsibilities include managing product life cycles and leading the development of composite frac plugs. Prior to this, Luis held roles at Downhole Technology as a Mechanical Designer in R&D, and at Halliburton in various engineering positions, where implementation of Lean Manufacturing methodologies resulted in significant process improvements. Earlier professional experience includes managing a retail team at Advance Auto Parts, recognized for customer service and leadership, and working as an Automotive Technician at Clear Lake Infiniti, acquiring diagnostic skills in multiple automotive systems. Luis earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston between 2010 and 2013.
