Derek Wedel started their work experience in 2012 as a Warehouse Worker at Krage Manufacturing. In 2013, they worked as a New Student Orientation Leader at California Baptist University. In 2014, Derek had an internship at Skanska USA Civil Inc. In 2015, they joined Halff as an Engineer in Training and later transitioned to the role of Project Manager in January 2022.

Derek Wedel attended California Baptist University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Civil Engineering.
