Alan Fernandes currently serves as a board member at Haitong. Alan has over twenty-five years of experience in the financial services industry, holding various senior management positions during their career.
Fernandes began their career as an analyst at BNDES in 1990 before moving to EBP SA - Estruturadora Brasileira de Projetos S.A. a few years later. In 1997, they joined Unibanco as a senior manager in the Project Finance department. Alan held this position until 1999 when they were appointed director of Algar Telecom S.A.
After a year at Algar Telecom, Fernandes returned to the banking sector as senior project manager of mergers and acquisitions at Banco Itaú BBA S.A. In 2005, they left Banco Itaú to join Espirito Santo Investment as a senior manager. Alan remained with the company for just over a year before being appointed head of corporate finance for the middle market at Banco Itaú in 2006. Alan held this position until 2007 when they left to take up their current role at Haitong.
Alan Fernandes has a Bachelor of Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and did not complete their studies at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA. Alan also went to Ibmec.
