Shahir is a first-generation and family/community oriented leader from Oakland, For Oakland. He broke into tech without having a formal educational background and has worked for companies such as Google, Shopify, and Tesla. He even teaches high schoolers about design and programming after dropping out of college. His life pillars are: give to your family unconditionally, give back to the community unconditionally. He has a strong passion for high-impact products and services for low-income BIPOC communities, persistent energy to build ethically, and an entrepreneurial spirit that drives him along the way. He has always had a passion to redefine the intersections of technology, communities, and young people. Shahir's main goal is to bridge the gap in tech where he can help non-technical BIPOC communities break into tech.
