Director Of Research And Policy at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis

Chris Reeder Young, M.A. has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. From December 2017 to the present, Chris has served as the Director of Research and Policy at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis. Prior to this, from December 2017 to July 2022, Chris held the position of Senior Research and Evaluation Manager at the same organization. Before joining Habitat for Humanity, Chris worked as the Research and Program Impact Manager from July 2013 to December 2017, and as the Family Support and Community Impact Specialist from October 2009 to July 2013, also at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis. Additionally, Chris worked as a Community Organizer at The University of Memphis from December 2007 to October 2009. Chris' earliest work experience dates back to January 1999, where they served as the Front of House Lead at Alabama Shakespeare Festival until December 2004.

Chris Reeder Young, M.A. obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology and Women's Studies from Huntingdon College in the years 2001 to 2004. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts in Urban and Medical Anthropology with a focus on Urban Anthropology in Community and Neighborhood Development and Research at The University of Memphis from 2006 to 2007. Additionally, Chris has obtained several certifications, such as in Outbreaks and Epidemics, Surveillance Systems, Data and Health Indicators in Public Health Practice, and Essentials for Healthy Homes Practitioners.
