Asuka Bando is a Senior Research Data Analyst at H1, a healthcare platform aimed at enhancing collaboration within the healthcare ecosystem, since January 2021. Previous roles include Researcher and Contract Researcher at Olympus Corporation of the Americas from 2016 to 2019, where work focused on exploration and alliances. In 2016, Asuka was a Marketing Intern at the University of California, San Diego's Jacobs School of Engineering, where a survey analysis led to the identification of eleven startups. Asuka started a career as a Researcher at the Japan Science and Technology Agency's National Bioscience Database Center from 2011 to 2015, successfully managing a team that launched Japan's first all-encompassing life science database portal. Additionally, earlier experience includes serving as a Database Curator at the Database Center for Life Science from 2009 to 2011, contributing to national database integration efforts. Asuka holds a Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences from Osaka University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and Life Science from Meiji University.
