Chiquisha Robinson has extensive experience in legal services, particularly within the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia since 2005, currently serving as Deputy Chief of the Prisoner & Reentry Legal Services in the Community Defender Division. This role involves addressing the legal and social service needs of individuals post-adjudication, ensuring effective community reintegration. Robinson also has served in various capacities within the Community Defender Division, including managing programs and providing direct legal representation in serious felony cases. Additionally, Robinson is an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University, teaching Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, and has participated in programs aimed at fostering leadership and public interest law, such as being a Wasserstein Fellow at Harvard Law School.
