Matt Towner is an experienced professional in public health and social impact, currently serving as Programme Director for Health Effects of Air Pollution at both Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation and Impact on Urban Health since June 2023. With a history of leadership roles, Towner previously held positions such as Non Executive Director at SMASH App and Interim Head of Health at ShareAction, where oversight of the Long-term Investors in People’s Health programme was a key responsibility. Towner's past experience includes managing portfolios focused on health and equity at Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation and Impact on Urban Health, as well as leading teams at Spring Impact to enhance social impact both in the UK and internationally. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Population and Development from The London School of Economics and a BA in History from UCL.
