Jill Oakley is an experienced educator with a focus on early childhood and elementary education. Currently serving as a Kindergarten ESL Teacher at Gurnee School District 56 since August 2015, Jill teaches a Sheltered English class. Previously, from March 2011 to July 2015, Jill taught in a multiage first/second grade classroom at St. Joseph's School, where lessons were developed in alignment with Common Core and Illinois State standards. Additional teaching experiences include long-term substitute positions in a multiage seventh/eighth grade classroom and Math for grades five through eight, alongside serving as an instructional assistant for special needs students at Bensenville Elementary School District 2. Jill's academic background includes a B.S.Ed in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University, where involvement in the Women's Resource Center also emphasized social justice initiatives.
