Lisa Nolen is an experienced professional currently serving as the Director of Board Relations for Guilford County Schools since April 2022, previously holding the role of Executive Assistant to the Chief of Schools. Nolen's tenure at Guilford County Schools also includes serving as Clerk to the Board of Education and Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff from January 2015 to October 2021. Prior experience encompasses the position of Clerk to the Board of Education at Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools and roles at the NC Association of County Commissioners and the Office of the Governor of North Carolina, where Nolen was Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Relations. Nolen began a career in research with the Harvey Gantt for Senate Campaign Committee. Nolen holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
