John Vaaler has a diverse work experience. John started their career as a Ski Instructor at Hyland Hills Ski Area, where they taught people of all ages the basics of skiing and worked with advanced skiers on improving their skills. John then worked as a Food Server at Noodles & Company, where they assisted customers with orders, solved their problems, and performed closing shift duties. John gained writing experience as a Writer at Pretoria News, where they wrote and published stories on local politics, diplomatic affairs, and art exhibitions. John also worked as a News Reporter at Addison Independent, where they authored local stories and reviewed movies for the Sunset Series.

In addition, John worked at The Middlebury Campus, initially as a Contributing Writer, then as a Staff Writer, and later as a Senior Writer.
