Shamir Patel is a partner at Guidehouse, holding the roles of Deputy General Counsel and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer since May 2018, where Shamir provides legal counsel and oversees the company's Ethics and Compliance program. Prior to this, Shamir served at PwC from August 2012 to May 2018 within the Office of the General Counsel, supporting the Public Sector, Cybersecurity, Forensics, and Bankruptcy Restructuring practices. From September 2004 to July 2012, Shamir worked at Dickstein Shapiro LLP (now Blank Rome LLP) in the Government Law and Strategy Practice, assisting multinational clients with government investigations and compliance systems. Shamir also gained initial legal experience as a legal intern at the United States Attorney's Office in the summer of 2002. Shamir obtained a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. from the University of Chicago.
