Nimmi Gowrinathan, PhD is the founder and publisher of Adi Magazine, a literary journal aimed at rehumanizing policy. Nimmi also serves as the Director of Beyond Identity at The Politics of Sexual Violence Initiative at CCNY, where Nimmi collaborates on campus-wide initiatives. Nimmi is a writer for Beacon Press and the creator/editor of the Female Fighter Series at Guernica Magazine. In addition, Nimmi is a professor/director at the Politics of Sexual Violence Initiative at City College of New York. With a background as a gender expert and lead author for the UNDP, as well as experience in directing programs in South Asia for Operation USA, Nimmi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the fields of gender, violence, and policy.
