Sam Asgarian, MD MBA, currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at Scipher Medicine since November 2021. Previously, Asgarian held the role of Chief Medical Officer at Thrive, an Exact Sciences Company, where efforts focused on the approval and adoption of a pioneering multi-cancer detecting blood test. Additional experience includes serving as a Board Member for Sutter Health | Aetna, Vice President of Transformation Health Products and Services at CVS Health, and various leadership roles at Aetna, including Vice President for Clinical Services and Consumer Health and Services. Asgarian has also contributed as Chief Development and Strategy Officer at axialHealthcare and as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting LLP. Educational qualifications include a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, an MD from Tulane University School of Medicine, an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, and an M.A. in Medical Sciences from Loyola University Chicago.
