Elijah Mayfield is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fields of artificial intelligence and education technology. Currently serving as an AI Advisor at GSV Ventures since September 2018, Mayfield's previous roles include Board Member at Pace AI and Instructor at the School of Social Policy & Practice at the University of Pennsylvania. As Vice President of New Technologies at Turnitin, Mayfield led the launch of the Revision Assistant, achieving significant user growth and retention. Mayfield's entrepreneurial background includes founding LightSide Labs, while also holding positions such as Entrepreneur In Residence at Carnegie Mellon University and Policy Consultant at both the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. With a Ph.D. and MS in Language Technologies from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Computer Science with Honors from the University of Minnesota, Mayfield combines advanced education with a rich professional history.
