George Kamiya is a Senior Manager for Climate Action at GSMA, starting in March 2023, after serving at the International Energy Agency (IEA) in various roles from September 2014 to October 2022. At the IEA, George led modeling and analysis on critical minerals demand related to clean energy transitions, focusing on electric vehicles and batteries, and contributed to several significant publications on energy technology and climate policy. Prior roles include Energy Policy Analyst at OECD, Research Associate at Simon Fraser University, Regulatory Development Officer at Health Canada, and Environmental Analyst at Vancouver Airport Authority. George holds a Masterā€™s in Resource Management from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from The University of British Columbia.
