Uma also worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Clinical Grants Administrator, managing vendor and investigator contracts for clinical trials while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Uma began their professional journey at Unilever, where they held a managerial role responsible for project analysis and planning for a global supply chain management project. Uma was also involved in procurement planning and evaluation of consulting services/solution providers.

Additionally, Uma co-founded Care Gain Inc., where they served as the Director of Marketing and Business Development. Uma played a key role in developing and deploying revolutionary health insurance products and contributed to the growth of the company until its successful acquisition by Fiserv.
