Marta Vela Calderón has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Ferrer since March 2017, overseeing all operations within the organization. Previously, Marta held the position of Director of Manufacturing Operations at Ferrer and was responsible for the management of manufacturing operations across three pharmaceutical plants. Prior to Ferrer, Marta worked at Novartis as Head of Manufacturing, focusing on compounding, aseptic filling, and packaging operations. Marta also served as Production Manager at Alcon, directing aseptic production for drug products, and held roles at B. Braun Medical as Lean Manufacturing Manager, ESTEVE as Production Supervisor, and LAINCO as Production Supervisor. Marta holds an Engineer’s Degree in QuÃmica Industrial and completed marketing and leadership management programs at Esade and Foxize.
