Pavithra Sundaresan is an experienced leader in the life sciences sector, currently serving as the VP and Head of External Innovation at Grünenthal Group since September 2021. Previously, Pavithra held the position of Senior Director for New Ventures and Transactions at Johnson & Johnson Innovation from August 2016 to August 2021, and prior to that, was the Director of Global Business Development at UCB Celltech from June 2012 to July 2016. Early career experiences include roles such as Associate Director of Licensing and Business Development at Merck Serono, Analyst at Atlas Venture, and Associate Consultant at L.E.K. Consulting. Pavithra started academic pursuits as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Cambridge, specializing in platelet signal pathways in thrombosis, following a Ph.D. from the same institution and a BSc Hons in Biochemistry and Genetics from the University of Nottingham.
