Jean Lépine

President at Groupe Média TFO

Proud Franco-Ontarian, Mr. Jean Lépine holds a master's degree in business administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario (EMBA 2002) and a bachelor's degree in social sciences, with a minor in science politicians, from the University of Ottawa, where he played university hockey from 1984 to 1989.

It was during his career of more than ten years in the federal and provincial governments (Ontario) that Mr. Lépine discovered his passion to serve Canadians, in particular by working alongside Léo Duguay, representing the riding of St-Boniface in Manitoba.

In Queens Park, he served as Chief of Staff to the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Minister responsible for Francophone Affairs, before joining the Prime Minister's office.

For nearly twenty years, Mr. Lépine has worked in the private sector in Canada, the United States and Europe. He has thus carved out a leadership position in communications, government relations, investor relations and sustainability. All of this within well-known companies around the world, such as AstraZeneca, AB InBev, and HARMAN (Samsung).

Invested in TFO's mandate, Mr. Lépine notably participated as a political analyst on the Panorama program and worked closely with Claudette Paquin, former CEO of TFO, as part of a master's project consisting in exploring new sources of income for the Franco-Ontarian media company in the early 2000s.
