Kushaal Rao serves as an Innovation Fellow at Brown University, where responsibilities include assessing the commercial potential of early-stage technologies, evaluating industry interest, and developing marketing strategies. Previously, Kushaal engaged in doctoral research focused on building brain-computer interfaces to assist individuals with tetraplegia, supported by Leigh Hochberg. Additional experience includes participation in the Cleveland NeuroDesign Entrepreneurs Workshop, serving as an undergraduate research assistant at UC Davis Health under Carolynn Patten, and co-founding Neurotech@Davis to foster a neuroengineering community. Education includes a PhD in Neuroscience from Brown University and a B.S. in Computational Cognitive Science with minors in Computer Science and Neuroscience from UC Davis.
