Tom Hawkins is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in various roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Software Engineer at Groq since May 2017, Tom previously held the position of Principal Software Engineer at BAE Systems from October 2011 to May 2017. Before this, Tom was the Lead Software Engineer at Eaton Corporation, focusing on hydraulic hybrid vehicle systems, from October 2007 to October 2011. Earlier career phases included a role as Design Automation Engineer at Medtronic, responsible for managing ASIC design tools and methods, and as President at Launchbird Design Systems. Tom's career also includes engineering roles at Dillon Engineering and Honeywell International, where Tom worked on FPGA and embedded systems development as well as avionics for automatic flight control systems. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University between 1992 and 1998.
