Stephen Burnside

PCS Automation Lead Engineer at Grifols

Stephen Burnside is an experienced automation engineer with a robust background in process control and engineering support within the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the PCS Automation Lead Engineer at Grifols since June 2011, Stephen has overseen the commissioning and startup of a $90 million plasma fractionation facility and a 150,000 sq ft purification and filling facility. Previous roles include Principal Automation Engineer and Staff PCS Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed implementing DCS automation and providing engineering support in GMP production environments. Stephen's extensive career also includes positions at Talecris, Micron Technology, Dominion Semiconductor, E.L. Nickell Company, and a research internship at Clarkson University. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University.
