Kaushik Seshadri, P.E.

Senior Engineering Manager at GridStor

Kaushik Seshadri, P.E. has a diverse background in the energy industry, with a focus on engineering and project management. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Student Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, specializing in Power Electronics and Power Systems. During this time, Kaushik also served as a Grader for a graduate level course.

In 2012, Kaushik joined Black & Veatch as an Electrical Engineer, where they held various roles from entry level to lead engineer. Kaushik worked on projects including AQCS retrofit EPC, combined cycle EPC, solar plus Battery Energy Storage small EPC, and Cogen projects in waste water treatment facilities.

In 2019, Kaushik transitioned to RRC Companies as a Senior Electrical Engineer and Energy Storage Technical Lead. In this role, they managed electrical design and studies for Utility Scale Wind Repower, Solar, Wind, and BESS collector systems. Kaushik also focused on business development and proposal teams for utility scale BESS development, working with clients and vendors to design tailored solutions.

In 2021, Kaushik joined RWE as a Senior Design Engineer - Global Storage Engineering. Kaushik brought their expertise in battery storage BoP engineering design and sought to gain experience in project origination and execution. In this role, they supported project design and engineering from origination to financial investment decision and development.

Starting in 2022, Kaushik assumed the position of Project Engineering Manager at GridStor. In this role, they are responsible for the front-end engineering design (FEED) on energy storage projects, including M&A and new projects. Their responsibilities include preliminary design concepts, major equipment and EPC procurement, and financial approval.

Overall, Kaushik Seshadri has over 3 years of storage experience, predominantly in Li-ion batteries, and almost 10 years of power system engineering experience. Kaushik has worked on a wide range of projects, demonstrating their ability to adapt and excel in different roles within the energy industry.

Kaushik Seshadri, P.E. earned a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, specializing in Power Systems, from The Ohio State University. This degree was obtained between the years 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, where they earned a B-Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Kaushik attended this institute from 2006 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Kaushik Seshadri, P.E. has also obtained several certifications. In April 2013, they acquired the E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) certification in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration. Later, in May 2016, they obtained the P.E. (Professional Engineer) certification in Electrical Engineering from the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration.
