Daniel Russo, Ed.D. serves as the Elementary School Principal for The Town of Greenwich, CT, since July 2023. Previously, Russo held various roles within the NYC Department of Education from September 2007 to July 2023, including Deputy Superintendent, where oversight was provided for a district of 45 elementary and middle schools serving 36,000 students during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Elementary School Principal at The Walton Avenue School, where Russo led significant improvements in school culture and achievement through a federally funded school improvement grant. Additionally, Russo began a career as an Elementary School Teacher, focusing on customized instruction for a diverse student population. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Innovation and Leadership from New York University, a Master's in Special Education and Teaching, and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Teaching from Manhattan University.
