Jung-Kyu McCann has a diverse range of work experience in the legal field. They started their career at Shearman & Sterling LLP in 1998, where they worked as Counsel. During their time at Shearman & Sterling LLP, Jung-Kyu advised companies on various legal matters such as venture capital financings, securities law compliance, SEC reports, disclosure, and corporate governance. They also represented companies and underwriters in securities transactions and managed teams of associates.
In 2014, Jung-Kyu joined Apple as a Senior Manager, Principal Corporate and Governance Counsel. They held this role until 2017, where they provided legal counsel on corporate and governance matters.
Following their time at Apple, Jung-Kyu joined Broadcom Inc. in 2017 as an Associate General Counsel. They held this position until 2019, responsible for legal matters related to the company.
In 2019, Jung-Kyu joined Druva as the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. They held this position until 2022, overseeing legal operations and corporate governance.
Jung-Kyu has also been involved in various external roles. They served as a Board Member and Officer of the Society for Corporate Governance since 2020, where they contributed to the organization's activities. They also served on the Audit and Finance Committee of the Society for Corporate Governance since 2018.
Additionally, Jung-Kyu was part of the Women's General Counsel Network as an Advisory Council member since 2021, providing insights and advice to the network.
Currently, Jung-Kyu is working as the Chief Legal Officer at Greenhouse Software. They started this role in December 2022.
Jung-Kyu McCann completed their education in a chronological order. Jung-Kyu attended Phillips Exeter Academy from 1987 to 1991. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree at Cornell University from 1991 to 1995. Lastly, they attended Fordham University School of Law from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
