Simon McArley has been working in a variety of roles since 1998. Simon began their career as a Director for Greenplan Forestry Ltd. In 2002, they became a Member of the New Zealand Markets Disciplinary Tribunal. In 2010, they took on two roles, Acting Chief Executive and Director at the Serious Fraud Office and Acting Director of Primary Markets at the Securities Commission. In 2013, they became a Lawyer and Governance Consultant for Self-employed. In 2017, they took on three roles; Independent Director for General Capital, Member of the Board of Trustees for Kelmarna Community Garden Trust, and Independent Chair of the Due Dilligence Committee for AMP. In 2021, they became an Independent Director for both Greenfern Industries and Auckland Radiology Group.
Simon McArley attended Victoria University of Wellington from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained an LL.B (Hons) in Law.
