Cheryl Lam is the Director for Sustainability Initiatives for Walmart Private Brands. She brings 25 years of CPG and Retail experience with roles in Quality, R&D, Packaging Development and Innovation Procurement with a foundation of Sustainability from product concept to shelf. At Walmart she leads sustainability initiatives for Walmart Private Brands across Food, Consumables, and Health and Wellness and creates the roadmap to deliver enterprise commitments. She is an advocate for regenerative and circular solutions and partners with merchants and suppliers to pilot and prioritize solutions for people, packaging, and planet.

Cheryl started her career with Unilever in Quality at an OTC manufacturing site and continued to expand her experience in R&D with a co-patent in aerosol technology and formula and found her passion in packaging where she holds a design patent. During her packaging journey, she has developed packaging in rigid and flexible plastic packaging as well as glass, metal, and paper. She has deep knowledge across packaging formats and leverages that experience to educate and empower the Private Brand supply base in her current role at Walmart.
