Jessica Porta is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations, community engagement, and strategic development. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at GreenPlaces since November 2022, Jessica previously held roles such as Chief Strategist at Founded Communities and Executive Director at Raleigh Founded, where leadership of a vibrant entrepreneurial community and management of multiple facilities were key responsibilities. Jessica’s background includes adjunct teaching at North Carolina State University, operational management for the North Carolina Commission of Inquiry on Torture, and founding BlueDot Development Consulting, which provided strategic support to various organizations. With a Master's degree in International Studies focused on Human Rights from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor's degree from Penn State University, Jessica combines academic knowledge with practical expertise in areas such as grant writing, project management, and community development.
