David Walters has over 30 years of experience in the forestry industry. David has held various roles in companies such as Green Diamond Resource Company, Olympic Resource Management / Pope Resources, LandVest Timberlands, Roseburg Forest Products, International Paper, and Boise Cascade. Their responsibilities have included managing forest inventory, GIS, research, tree improvement, timberland acquisition and disposition activities, as well as providing expertise in forest growth and yield modelling. David has also been involved in marketing and consulting for timberland sales and has supported investor relations and business development. David has a strong background in transactional activities, due diligence, and onboarding of timberland assets.
David Walters completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Forest Management/Forest Resources Management from Oregon State University in the period between 1980 and 1984. David then pursued a Master's degree in Forest Biometrics at Virginia Tech from 1986 to 1987. After that, they obtained their highest level of education, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Forest Biometrics from the University of Minnesota from 1989 to 1994.
In terms of certifications, David Walters has been certified as a US Forest and Urban Forest Carbon Offset Project Specialist by the Air Resource Board State of California in October 2011. David is also a Certified Forester accredited by the Society of American Forester. Additionally, they hold certifications as an Oregon Principal Real Estate Broker and a Washington Principal Real Estate Broker, both issued by the respective state authorities.
