Nagesh Basavanhalli serves as the Non Executive Vice Chairman and Group CEO/Vice Chairman of Greaves Cotton Limited, having progressed from MD & CEO from September 2016 to August 2020. Under Nagesh Basavanhalli's leadership, Greaves Cotton Limited has established itself as a leading engineering company in India, specializing in Mobility, Retail, Electric Mobility, Finance, and Technologies. Prior to this role, Nagesh Basavanhalli was the Group President for Emerging Markets at ATG Group, overseeing business operations across regions including Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and South America. Nagesh Basavanhalli's extensive experience also includes positions as President and MD of FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in India, CEO of Defiance Tech., and various roles at Daimler Chrysler. Nagesh Basavanhalli holds an MBA in Strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Science from The University of Texas at El Paso, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University, complemented by leadership training from The Center for Creative Leadership and INSEAD.
