Nancy Bissinger Timm was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from Isidore Newman School in 1974. She received her Master’s in Social Work from Tulane School of Social Work in 1981. She has had a private practice for over 35 years and currently works at Pelts, Kirkhart and Associates as a psychotherapist.
Nancy has served on numerous boards including Jewish Family Service (Chair), The Anti-Defamation League (Chair) and Touro Infirmary Foundation (Chair). She has served on the national boards of ADL and was Vice-President of The National Association of Jewish Family Services. Other board terms include St. George’s Episcopal School, Jewish Community Center, Epilepsy Council, National Council of Jewish Women and many more over the years.
Nancy has received many awards including ADL’s Torch of Liberty Award, Jewish Endowment’s Tzedakah Award, Jewish Federation’s Tikum Olam Award, City Business’ Woman of the Year Award, Jewish Family Service’s Rhythm and Blues Award and several more.
