Raised in Wilmington, North Carolina, Catherine graduated in 1992 from Sweet Briar College in Virginia with a B.A. in International Affairs. She worked in New York City and Atlanta before moving to New Orleans in 1995 where she then served as Development Director at Longue Vue House and Gardens and later Foundation Manager of the Ella West Freeman Foundation and RosaMary Foundation. Catherine is currently enjoying discovering and profiling local nonprofits as a columnist for St. Charles Avenue magazine’s “Making a Difference” column. Over the years she has served on many local nonprofit boards, including Isidore Newman School, the Junior League of New Orleans, Trinity Episcopal Church, Herman-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses, the Legacy Donor Foundation and the New Orleans Town Gardeners. In addition, Catherine has Chaired several fundraisers including Longue Vue’s “Sentimental Journeys,” Audubon Zoo’s “Zoo-To-Do,” HGGHH’s “Amazing Grapes”, Children’s Hospital’s “Sugarplum Ball” and more. Catherine is married to a native New Orleanian and is the proud mother of three children.
