Neil Evans is an experienced professional in the field of policing and criminal justice, currently serving as the Director of Police, Crime, Fire & Criminal Justice at Greater Manchester Combined Authority since February 2020. Prior roles include Assistant Director in the same department and Independent Consultant advising the Deputy Mayor for Police and Crime. Neil retired from Greater Manchester Police in February 2020, where the most recent position held was Chief Superintendent, overseeing the Boroughs of Oldham, Rochdale, and Tameside. In addition, Neil has held various leadership roles within the police service, including temporary Chief Superintendent focused on public service reform and Superintendent in public service integration.
