Matrex Gooi currently serves as Assistant Manager in Head Office Compliance at Public Bank, a position held since August 2017, demonstrating expertise in compliance reporting, proposal evaluation for new banking products, and collaboration with various divisions to ensure regulatory alignment. Formerly a Senior Executive in the same department, Matrex conducted compliance checks in digital banking and supported business units through regulatory mapping and gap analysis. Matrex began the career as a Graduate Trainee focused on compliance, following a Graduate Trainee program at the Financial Sector Talent Enrichment Programme. Prior experience includes a role in CRM Data Analysis & Reporting at Watsons Malaysia and an internship analyzing passenger demand trends at the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines. Matrex holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman.
