Dom Desmond has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the creative industry. Dom is currently working at Grayling as the Creative Director, where they have been since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Creative Director at Grayling from November 2021 to November 2022.
In 2017, Dom founded Critically Endangered Socks, a business that sells sustainable socks and raises awareness and funds for protecting endangered wildlife with WWF. Dom has been the Director of this business since November 2017, and it has garnered significant media attention, being featured in publications such as Vogue, The BBC, The Guardian, and more.
Dom has also held roles at Taxin as an Art Director from March 2020 to May 2021, and at McCann, Ogilvy as a Freelance Senior Art Director from September 2019 to December 2019. Dom worked as a Senior Art Director at Kindred from September 2018 to September 2019.
In their earlier career, Dom worked as a Freelance Midweight Art Director at VCCP, Publicis, Rapp, and Pablo from October 2016 to March 2018. Dom was a Junior Art Director at Fallon London from September 2015 to October 2016, and they served as an Art Director Placement at Wieden + Kennedy from March 2015 to July 2015.
Dom's career began as a Lead Designer at kriticalmass from April 2014 to March 2015, and they worked as an Art Director at the School of Communication Arts 2.0 from July 2013 to June 2014.
Dom Desmond began their education in 2008 at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, where they pursued a degree in Psychology with a focus on Consumer psychology. They completed their degree in 2011. In 2013, Dom attended the School of Communication Arts, studying Advertising. Additionally, they completed two professional short courses in the same year: one on Introduction to Advertising at Central St Martins and another on Advanced Marketing with a focus on Advertising at City, University of London.
