Víctor Manuel Peláez Martínez began their work experience in 2003 as a Computer Technologies Teacher at Academia Trazos. In the same year, they also worked as a Software Engineer in the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering at Universidad de Oviedo. Their responsibilities included developing hardware devices for home automation and conducting research on home automation technologies.

In 2005, Víctor joined CTIC Centro Tecnológico as a Research engineer in the research group "4U" at the R&D department. Víctor Manuel held this position until 2011, during which they managed R&D and innovation projects at a Spanish and European level, focusing on eHealth, Smart Cities, and Internet of Things.

From 2011 to 2013, Víctor served as the Manager of the research group "4U" at the R&D department, where they continued to manage technical projects in the domains of eHealth, Smart Cities, and Internet of Things.

In 2014, Víctor joined Seresco as a Software Engineer and later became the Software Engineer Team Lead from 2015 to 2019.

Most recently, in 2019, Víctor started working at GrayHair Software, Inc. as a Full Stack Engineer, where they are currently employed.

Víctor Manuel Peláez Martínez obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad de Oviedo from 1999 to 2003. Víctor Manuel then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university from 2003 to 2006. In 2007, Víctor completed a Master's degree in Innovation Management and Business Development at Universidad de Oviedo. Víctor Manuel continued their education at the same university and obtained a PhD in Computer Science from 2011 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Víctor has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they completed the "First Look: Java 10 and Java 11" certification from LinkedIn. In 2020, they obtained the "Reactive Programming with Java 8" certification. In 2021, Víctor completed multiple certifications related to AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C02), including "1 Cloud Services Overview," "2 Storage Design," and "3 Virtual Private Cloud" certifications. In 2022, they obtained the "Prepare for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Exam (SAA-C02)" certification.
