Garry Shooter has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Garry is currently the VP of SDK Development at Graphcore since 2021. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of GPU Software at ARM from 2017 to 2021, where they led the team responsible for delivering the Driver Development Kit (DDK) for ARM Mali range of GPU processors. Before ARM, Garry worked as the Senior Firmware Director at Seagate Technology UK from 2014 to 2017, overseeing the development of storage enclosure management firmware. Garry also held the position of Senior Director of Software Engineering at Broadcom from 2013 to 2014, where they were responsible for delivering multimedia firmware and software for cellular platforms and the Raspberry Pi processor. Additionally, Garry served as the Director of Wireless Software at Atmel Corporation from 2011 to 2013 and as the Software Director at CSR from 2002 to 2011, where they led firmware and software development for their respective product lines. Garry began their career as a Principal Software Engineer at Fujitsu Telecommunications from 1999 to 2001 and worked as a Project Team Leader and Principal Engineer at GPT from 1996 to 1999. Throughout their career, Garry has demonstrated a track record of successfully leading teams, delivering complex projects, and overseeing the development of software and firmware solutions.
Garry Shooter completed their BSc Eng (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Aberdeen, spanning from 1984 to 1989.
