Erika Smith has gained extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Erika started their career at St Marys Cement Co as a Summer Student and Office Assistant from May 2012 to December 2014. Then, they joined Preston Feather in August 2015 as an HR Coordinator, where they worked until December 2019. Currently, Erika holds two positions at Grand Traverse Bay YMCA. Erika has been serving as a Human Resource and Training Director since December 2019 and recently took on the role of Senior Director of Human Resources in May 2021.

Erika Smith obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Central Michigan University. In October 2023, they also became certified as a Praesidium Guardian through Praesidium, Inc.
