Cynthia Porter Janes serves as Vice President and A/E Civic Market Leader at Fishbeck since January 2017. In addition to this role, Janes holds various positions including Commissioner at the Kent County Road Commission since January 2015 and a Board of Trustees member at the Grand Rapids Public Museum from July 2014. Janes is the Vice Chair and Commissioner of the Kent County Board of Public Works since January 2018 and was previously on the Board of Directors for the Lower Grand River Organization of Watersheds from January 2014 to June 2018. Prior experience includes over 30 years at AECOM, where Janes was the Education Practice Leader and Strategic Development until January 2017. Janes has also served on the Board of Directors for the Cascade Community Foundation from 2005 to July 2014, and was part of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Grand Valley Metropolitan Council from January 2008 to January 2014, alongside serving as an elected Township Trustee in Cascade Charter Township from January 2007 to January 2014. Educational qualifications include a degree in Business Administration from The Catholic University of America and Grand Valley State University.
