Rafael Nuñez is an experienced petroleum engineer with a strong background in gas operations and risk management. Currently serving as Company Man CO&WO at Gran Tierra Energy since May 2019, Rafael previously held similar roles at Consultec International Inc from February 2018 to May 2019. Rafael's experience at Chevron from 2012 to 2015 included positions as Offshore and Onshore Gas Operator and Risk Management Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed high-pressure gas operations, well reliability optimization, and health, environment, and safety risk assessments. Rafael holds a Master’s Degree in Reservoir Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas and a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
