Haydn Kuchel has extensive experience in the agricultural sector, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Head of Breeding at Australian Grain Technologies since July 2002. Haydn has held roles as General Manager of Research and Development, Wheat Breeder, and Facility Manager within the same organization. Additionally, Haydn is involved with Grains Australia as the Commodity Council Chairman for Wheat and a member for both Wheat and Barley, and has been the Chairman and Director at Australian Crop Breeders Ltd since July 2019. Academic contributions include positions as Adjunct Professor, Associate Professor, and Lecturer at the University of Adelaide since 2009. Previous experiences also include directorship at Barley Australia and membership on the Science Advisory Panel for Pastoral Genomics. Haydn's educational background includes a PhD in Molecular Plant Breeding and participation in advanced management and leadership programs at notable institutions such as Harvard Business School and Melbourne Business School.
