Yifan Z's work experience includes being a Bioinformatics and Data Scientist at GRAIL since 2022. Prior to that, Yifan was a Graduate Researcher at the University of Chicago from 2016 to 2022, where they developed statistical and computational methods for genomics data analysis. They also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Transcriptomics and Computational Biology at the University of Chicago. In 2020, Yifan interned as a Bioinformatics/Data Science Intern at GRAIL, Inc.

Yifan Z. completed a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Biology from Tsinghua University from 2012 to 2016. Following that, Yifan Z. pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of Biophysics at the University of Chicago from 2016 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Yifan Z. has obtained several certifications from Coursera.
