Jason Carey

Senior Medical Science Liaison at GRAIL

Jason Carey has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Jason began their career as an Undergraduate Research Intern at Duke University and Morehouse School of Medicine in 2004 and 2005, respectively. Jason then moved on to work at Clark Atlanta University, where they served as a Graduate Research Associate, General Biology Laboratory Instructor, Organic Chemistry Recitation Instructor, and Research Technician (Lab Manager). During their time at Clark Atlanta University, they conducted prostate cancer research and trained undergraduate research students.

In 2012, Jason joined MD Anderson Cancer Center as a SUSAN G. KOMEN Postdoctoral Research Fellow, and later held the positions of Research Scientist and Clinical Research Scientist. Jason contributed to various research projects related to cancer.

In 2014, Jason briefly served as a Scientific Advisor at the Bahamas Breast Cancer Initiative Foundation before transitioning to work at Caris Life Sciences in 2020 as a Medical Science Liaison.

Currently, Jason is employed at GRAIL, where they began in 2020 as a Medical Science Liaison and has since been promoted to the role of Senior Medical Science Liaison.

Jason Carey completed their education in the field of biology. Jason obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General from Clark Atlanta University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Jason then pursued higher education and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology from the same institution, completing their studies from 2007 to 2011.
