Robert D. Pearson is a seasoned professional in graduate career services and higher education, currently serving as the Past President of the Graduate Career Consortium and the Director of Graduate Career Development and Postdoctoral Affairs at Southern Methodist University. With experience that includes roles as Assistant Dean of Professional Development and Career Planning at Emory University and Director of Graduate Career Services at The University of Texas at Dallas, Robert has a strong background in providing career and professional development support to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. Additional past positions include contributions as a lecturer in music history and various roles in graduate studies administration at institutions such as the University of Texas at Arlington and Oklahoma City University. Robert holds a Ph.D. in Musicology from Brandeis University and a B.A. in Music from the University of California, Davis.
