John T Winstead II has extensive experience in law enforcement and emergency services, currently serving as an Account Manager at GovDirect since December 2023. Winstead has held the position of Sergeant in the Patrol Division at Nash County Sheriff's Office since July 2003, and previously served as Chief of Police at Nashville Police Department from August 2022 to December 2023. Winstead's involvement with COOPERS VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND RESCUE SQUAD INC began in June 2000, progressing from firefighter to various leadership roles, ultimately serving as President from 2009 to 2019. Educationally, Winstead completed the Administrative Officers Management Program at North Carolina State University in late 2021, and holds prior educational credentials from Nash Community College and Southern Nash Senior High School.
