Stefan Svensson currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Board at Göteborg & Co since December 2022. Prior to this role, Stefan was involved with Framtidenkoncernen as Board Member and Vice Chairman from March 2019 to March 2024, and also served as a Board Member at Film i Väst from March 2019 to March 2023. Stefan's extensive experience in governance includes a tenure as Board Member at Sveriges Kommuner och Regioner from March 1999 to March 2019 and as a Board Member at Business Region Göteborg from March 2007 to March 2019. Additionally, Stefan was Mayor and Chairman of the Executive Board in Partille kommun from January 1999 to December 2018. Stefan began a career in law enforcement as a police officer at the Police Department of Gothenburg from September 1975 to December 1998, following graduation as the top student from the Police Academy in Sweden in 1976.
