Brandon Plumley MSc has extensive work experience in data engineering and software development. Brandon is currently working as a Lead Data Engineer at Gore Mutual Insurance. Prior to this, they worked at Equitable Life of Canada as a Senior Systems Analyst, Business Intelligence, where they were responsible for defining and supporting reporting and analytics needs across all lines of business. Brandon also worked at Camis Inc as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed data and integrated solutions for the product. Brandon has experience in designing data models, developing ETL processes, and prototyping BI tools. Before that, they worked at RBC as a Data Engineer, where they provided optimization and infrastructure data solutions for business analytics needs. Brandon also introduced Tableau and Hadoop to meet business requirements. Earlier in their career, they worked at Ritz Plastics and TS Manufacturing as a Software Developer, where they developed software solutions and implemented systems to streamline operations. Brandon has experience in IT administration and implementing ERP systems. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Trent University and as a Tier 1 Technical Support Agent at Aditya Birla Minacs. Brandon also has management experience from their time as a Manager at McDonald's Corporation.

Brandon Plumley MSc attended LCVI from 2003 to 2007, earning a High School diploma. Brandon then studied at Fleming College from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained an Advanced Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology. Afterwards, they attended Trent University from 2010 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Computer Science. Finally, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Applied Modeling and Quantitative Methods at Trent University from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained several certifications in Hadoop administration, data access, programming, and foundations from IBM in 2017.
